Tell Your Church Story Video
Church Unleashed Pastor’s Todd and Mary Bishop created this Our Church Story Video for their church in New York at www.pointchurch.tv.
Even though the church is very well established and will have multiple locations in Commack & Hicksville New York and even an Online Campus, the video gives a feeling that the church is still a Church Plant. It makes it feel like the church is still new and something that you would want to be involved in.
They started this church, so it comes off really natural for them to create this. But, even if you are in a more established church and are the 20th Pastor of your church you could still create a video that has this feeling.
What are some Church Story Video Ideas that you could use to communicate what your church is about?
- Communicate a New Fellowship or Serving Opportunity Event
- Communicate something you already do as if you are just launching it. Keep it fresh.
- Communicate your Small Group Strategy and how to get involved.
- Communicate what has happened since you took over the Church or Ministry.
- Communicate the entire story of your church and where you are headed in the future.
You do not have to be a Church Planter to have a fresh feel to Guests and Visitors
So many times you hear statements from new churches making promises to do church like church has never been done before. But then you go, and while it may be fresh and new in feel, but basics of church are all still there.
On some level you will still have church. There are some things related to church that nearly everyone will do such as Worship, Offering, and Preaching. How you do it may be somewhat unique, but probably not much.
Hopefully you are not setting out to communicate that you are doing something so out there that it is a circus that people need to come and see.
But, you should communicate what is unique about your church because we all have specific things God calls us to do and accomplish. Some churches focus on Missions, Outreach, Kids & Youth, Specific Activities, Events or Concerts, Small Groups, Serving Opportunities or whatever your focus is.
Why not make a video highlighting that, or take on something more ambitious like Church Unleashed and give the story of your church. I think it could really connect people immediately to the Pastor as well as giving the potential guest a feel for the church before they attend.
