Google Remembers All

One of the challenges that I am facing in reaching my goal of dominating my search engine for my church is Google itself.

I know what your are thinking. Of course that is a huge challenge. If Google was not a challenge then every church would be #1. Of course that would present an obvious problem and is not possible either. So we would still be stuck with trying to figure out how to get to #1.

The challenge is that I have been finding out that Google likes to remember things. Things you do online specifically. So when I have not cleared my cookies, history and cache my search results are different than when I do clear them.

The same thing happens when I am logged into my Google/Gmail account verses when I am logged out. When I search for the exact same terms sometimes I get different results. Am I the only one this happens too?

The problem with Google remembering is that I see a certain result on my computer. If what I am experiencing happens to everyone else too, then their results will be different. So I may think I am doing great for a search term, but if someone else is logged into their Gmail account they would be seeing different search results.

Give it a try and see what happens. Try searching for identical things both before clearing history and cache and after. While logged into Gmail and while logged out and cache cleared. I am just curious if this happens to everyone or just me. Would enjoy hearing about your results.

This can be an advantage too and I will talk about my theory on that in an upcoming post.
