Google tells Church Websites exactly what to do…
If your goal is to get found in Google, you will probably want to start with Google itself.
Church websites are no exception to the rules of Google, however elusive they may be. We can pray and believe and have faith. Of course, God could make it happen. He could make a Million dollars appear in my mailbox too, but he hasn’t {at least not yet…fingers crossed}
The amazing part about Google is that while they are very secretive about the exact ways they determine search engine ranking, they do tell you very specifically how you can achieve better rankings.
While reading a post from church planting resource www.arcchurches.com I clicked through using their link to Google’s Webmaster Central.
At the top of that page is a Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide. You will find the link to the guide at the top of the page.
If you want to get an idea of what you need to do to get church websites and blogs to rise in the search engines, read the guide. It really is pretty simple to follow. If you have a personal or ministry blog it can help there too.
