You will want a Gmail Email Address

Even if you have a personal Gmail account, you will want to begin by setting up a FREE Gmail / Google account for your church.

You can use any email address to complete the steps and create the accounts needed for most of the local promotion steps. However, for certain steps like setting up your Google Places page and Google Maps you will need a Google account anyway.

So, you might as well get the benefit from using Gmail. Plus, when you setup the account you can try to get some version of yourchurchname@gmail.com, which could be useful for other ministry purposes.

There are detailed instructions in the 15 Steps to FREE Local Church Promotion book download located in the sidebar on the right. The book also contains instructions and screenshots showing you how to link and forward one email account to anther, and filter incoming emails to keep accounts separated.

Below are a couple of links to Gmail and video promos. One of the links is a fun way for your to spread Gmail to your friends. If you have a personal Gmail account already, click the link and follow the instructions to send your non-Gmail using friends a message!

Below the Gmail links and video is a list of a few other awesome benefits you get just for creating a free Google account.
