Claiming and Optimizing these additional Local Business Directory Listings is worth the effort as it gives Google further verification that you are consistently using your exact Church Name, Address and Phone Number across the web. It tells Google that your church is OPEN and being managed online be a real person.

The downside to this is that EVERY one of these sites is unique, and will have their own verification process. You will still use the same basic information, logo and pictures to completely fill in the profiles. But, every site still has specific guidelines for how long descriptions are, photo optimization and more.

  • You will need to setup a FREE account on MOST of these sites to claim your listings. There may be a couple of them that do not require accounts. Follow instructions on those for submitting or correcting your information.

  • The best way to begin on each site is to SEARCH for your Church, find your listing or listings then look for a “Claim this Listing” or “Verify this Business” or a similar worded text link or button on your listing. Every site will be different. Follow the steps after that point on each site for claiming and verification to get control and optimize your listing. Remember to attempt to claim and delete the duplicates as well.
